“Jab Tak Hai Jaan” Poem with English Translation (From the film Jab Tak Hai Jaan)

Teri aankhon ki namkeen mastiyan
Teri hansi ki beparwaah gustakhiyaan
Teri zulfon ki leharaati angdaiyaan
Nahi bhoolungi main
Jab tak hai jaan, jab tak hai jaan

Tera haath se haath chhodna
Tera saayon se rukh modna
Tera palat ke phir na dekhna
Nahin maaf karungi main
Jab tak hai jaan, jab tak hai jaan

Baarishon mein bedhadak tere naachne se
Baat baat pe bewajah tere roothne se
Chhoti chhoti teri bachkani badmashiyon se
Mohabbat karungi main
Jab tak hai jaan, jab tak hai jaan..

Tere jhoothe kasme vaadon se
Tere jalte sulagte khwabon se
Teri be-raham duaaon se
Nafrat karungi main
Jab tak hai jaan, jab tak hai jaan

(English Translation ~ the spirit of the poem not the exact words)

Your eyes full of saline mischievousness,
Your laugh’s carefree insolence,
Your tresses’ airy waves,
I shall not forget…
As long as I live, As long as I live.

Your letting go – of my hand,
Your turning away – even from my shadows,
Your walking away – without even a second glance.
I shall not forgive…
As long as I live, As long as I live.

Your dancing spontaneously in the rains,
Your getting upset on trivialities without reason,
Your small childish playful acts,
I shall always love,
As long as I live, As long as I live.

Your false promises & assurances,
Your burning & scorching dreams,
Your heartless wishes & prayers,
I shall always hate,
As long as I live, As long as I live.
